The Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council 3 (RDRRMC3), through its Gawad KALASAG Central Luzon Regional Validation Committee (RVC), continuously conducts the Regional Field Validation for the 23rd Gawad KALASAG Seal for Local DRRM Councils and Offices Category. The RVC successfully assessed the component Cities and Municipalities of the Province of Bulacan from July 17-21, August 04 and 14, 2023.
A total of 13 out of the 24 Local Government Units of the Province of Bulacan passed the initial assessment and were subjected to regional field validation. This includes the Cities of Malolos, Meycauayan, San Jose Del Monte and the Municipalities of Angat, Bocaue, Bulakan, Calumpit, Doña Remedios Trinidad, Guiguinto, Pandi, Plaridel, Pulilan, and Santa Maria.
The purpose of the said activity is to further validate the existence and veracity of all the submitted documents and confirm the functionality of Local DRRM Council and Offices as mandated by Sections 11 and 12 of Republic Act 10121 and other relevant issuances for the establishment of Local DRRM Councils and Offices.
Said field validation was conducted together with the members of the Regional Validation Team composed of representatives from the Office of Civil Defense, Department of the Interior and Local Government, and Department of Social Welfare and Development in the presence of the respective members of their Local DRRM Councils and its office personnel.
Entries with Fully Compliant and Beyond Compliant Ratings after the conducted field validation will be endorsed to the GK National Gawad KALASAG Seal.
