JurisQuest: The Interschool Debate Highlights

The Municipal Government of Angat extends its warmest congratulations to all participants of JurisQuest: The Interschool Debate. The event showcased the passion, critical thinking, and courage of the youth, affirming that they are not only the leaders of tomorrow but also active change-makers in the present.

The debate featured four major topics, with students demonstrating excellence, conviction, and informed discourse. The results are as follows:

First Debate on the topic of the Death Penalty: The champion team was Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial School, with Angel Junice C. Gomez from FDR recognized as the Best Speaker.

Second Debate on Climate Change Policies: The champion team was Colegio de Sta. Monica de Angat, with Reanne Chione F. Fernandez from SJKIS honored as Best Speaker.

Third Debate on the Mining Ban: The champion team was Angel M. Del Rosario High School, with Christia Naomi C. Tolentino from AMDRHS recognized as Best Speaker.

Fourth Debate on Media Regulation: The champion team was Pres. Diosdado P. Macapagal Memorial High School, with Ryza May M. Ventura awarded Best Speaker.

The debates not only tested the participants’ knowledge and reasoning but also highlighted their commitment to civic engagement, leadership, and the power of informed dialogue.
